Today I am stepping across the line. I’m tired of waffling and I’m finished with wavering, I’ve made my choice, the verdict is in, and my decision is irrevocable. I’m going God’s way. There’s no turning back now!
私はこの地球で残された時間を神の目的に捧げ、神に選ばれた人々と神の栄光のため に生きていく。神の臨在を喜び、神の性質に近づくよう成長し、神の家族の中で役割 を担い、神の愛を人々に示し、神の御言葉を人々に伝えていく。
I will live the rest of my life serving God’s purposes with God’s people on God’s planet for God’s glory. I will use my life to celebrate his presence, cultivate his character, participate in his family, demonstrate his love, and communicate his Word.
私 の過去は完全に赦され、生きる目的を与えられ、そして天国には私のために住まいが用意されている。だから私は今後、浅薄な生き方、無駄な考えごとや無駄 話、無目的な活動、無意味な後悔、自分を傷つけ続ける過去の傷や怒り、神を信頼しないことからくる将来へ不安や心配のために時間とエネルギーを費やすこと など一切しない。そんなことをする代わりに、私は神の家族の一員として神を賛美し、成熟を目指して成長を続け、神に与えられた役割を担い、神の救いのメッ セージを人々に届けること に情熱を注いでいく。
Since my past has been forgiven, and I have a purpose for living, and a home awaiting in heaven, I refuse to waste any more time or energy on shallow living, petty thinking, trivial talking, thoughtless doing, useless regretting, hurtful resenting, or faithless worrying. Instead I will magnify God, grow to maturity, serve in ministry, and fulfill my mission in the membership of his family.
この人生は次に来る永遠というときのための準備なのだから、私は、この世的な成功よりも 神を礼拝することに、私個人の暮らしよりも神の家族の一員としての生活に、快適な環境の追求よりも自分の成長に、仕えてもらうことよりも仕えることに、よ り高い地位や楽しみや財産を求めて周囲の人々を出し抜くことよりも彼らと神の御国を建て上げていくことに価値を置いて生きていく。私は何が一番大切なのか よく知っている。だから私は、今日も、イエス・キリストのために、与えられた全てを用いて、 全力でその一番大切なことに取り組んでいく。
Because this life is preparation for the next, I will value worship over wealth, “we” over “me,” character over comfort, service over status, and people over possessions, position, and pleasures. I know what matters most, and I’ll give it all I’ve got. I’ll do the best I can with what I have for Jesus Christ today.
私 は文化や流行の虜にはならないし、批判を受けてもへこたれない。人からの賞賛を受けることが私の原動力ではないし、困難の中にあっても取り乱さずただ平安 を求め続ける。誘惑を受けて力を奪われたり、悪魔の脅しに負けて臆病になることも決してない。神に与えられたこのレースを走りながら、私の目は、ほかの選 手やコースの外ではなく、ただ真っ直ぐゴールに向けられている。時に辛く疲労困憊することがあっても、私は決してコースから外れたり、退場したり、立ち止 まったり、後戻りしない。私はただ神の恵みによって前進し続ける。神の御霊と目的に導かれたこの私を止めることなど誰もできない。妥協を受け入れるつもり などないし、私はただこのレー スを走り通すだけだ。
I won’t be captivated by culture, manipulated by critics, motivated by praise, frustrated by problems, debilitated by temptation, or intimidated by the devil. I’ll keep running my race with my eyes on the goal, not the sidelines or those running by me. When times get tough, and I get tired, I won’t back up, back off, back down, back out, or backslide. I’ll just keep moving forward by God’s grace. I’m Spirit-led, purpose driven, and mission-focused, so I cannot be bought, I will not be compromised, and I shall not quit until I finish the race.
神の驚くべき恵みによってのみ私は生かされている。だから誰に対しても差別なく誠 意をもって接し、与えられた一日一日に感謝し、そして神に任されている全てのもの を惜しみなく必要な人々に与えていく。
I’m a trophy of God’s amazing grace, so I will be gracious to everyone, grateful for every day, and generous with everything God entrusts to me.
主であり救い主であるイエス・キリストに私は今こう言う。「どんな方法であろうと、時がいつであろうと、またどこであろうと、そしてどんなことであろうと、 あなたからの召しであれば、私はそれに従います！ どこに導かれようとも、どんな犠牲を払うことになろうとも、覚悟はできています。いつでも、どこでも、 そしてどんな方法であっても。何が何でも、主よ、私は従います。最後の日にあなたから『よくやった。忠実な僕だ、さあ中に入って、永遠に続く祝宴を始めよ うじゃないか！』と いう賞賛を受けることができるように、どうか私を用いて下さい。」
To my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I say, “However, whenever, wherever, and whatever you ask me to do, my answer in advance is yes! Wherever you lead and whatever the cost I’m ready. Anytime. Anywhere. Anyway. Whatever it takes, Lord; whatever it takes! I want to be used by you in such a way, that on that final day I’ll hear you say, ‘Well done, thou good and faithful one. Come on in, and let the eternal party begin!’”
